Shortening hamstring is general problem with people and it also may lead to low back pain, this stretching techniques can make you feel the differents before and after applied, 

Note : 
  • That in all exercises you should keep your knees in full extension as much as you can 
  • Hold stretch 30 seconds 3 to 4 time for each leg
1- Towel hamstring stretch

you should lying in supine and pull your leg by using towel or strap this can make good effect on
your hamstring muscles, keep pulling closer every time you feel the hamstring tights become less 

2- Standing hamstring stretch

by standing with trunk forward with both hands try to reach your feet without flex your knees using the gravity as assistant power with your hamstrings stretch to touch your feet, some people find this technique very difficult, it can be more easier by separation between your feet, other people find this technique very  you can improve this technique by trying to hold the floor

3- Wall hamstring stretch

lying against the wall and support one leg on the wall to be straight using hands to keep knee in extension 

4- Standing on stair for hamstrings stretch

this technique usually used for calf muscle but it has good result in hamstrings stretch too you can try this technique in stair by standing on your toes with hands supporting your body thin push up your body

  2. These were some great stretch ideas! My son is very involved in sports, so he is always stretching. I think that these stretches would really help him loosen up before a big game. He is always stretchings, so that is can avoid injury.

  3. This is really helpful. I've tried a lot of these, but I think it's kind of hard to only use one stretch for a muscle, after a while it doesn't do as much. Knowing a few other stretches to try will definitely make it easier to ensure that my muscles are being properly stretched. I wouldn't want to get hurt from not stretching properly.

  5. A few months ago I had surgery on my knee and it was quit painful. It is important for me to keep up with my physical therapy. Knowing a few things I can do at home is great.

I can understand that how painful is the problem because I have gone through the problem several times when I used to practise in net to be selected in cricket team and after having such problem had to consult Physiotherapy North Ryde for relief.
