Physiotherapy Exercises After Total Knee Replacement
we always recommend to start any exercises with Breathing Exercises, take a deep inspiration through your nose until you feel your lungs filled with air, then slowly expiration through your mouth, repeat that 5 times before and after doing any exercises 

1- Foot pumping exercise
Lying supine knee extend and heel elevated to allow free foot pumping, start pumping your feet and apply circle motion, repeat 15 time for each move, this exercise help you to decrease swelling on your knee and foot, also it improve your circulation

2- Passive range of motion
Physical therapy will training you by passive range of motion exercises to ensure that your knee joint move through normal range and there is no limitation, also this passive movement will improve your circulation and its not take a long time 


3- Quadriceps Contraction

A- Static Contraction
Lying supine with your trunk and head form 130 angle degrees with your legs and the knee extend, place towel under your knee and contract your quadriceps by trying to push down the towel

B- Dynamic contraction

simple easy exercise for dynamic quadriceps contraction is to site on table allowing your leg to be dangling start to extend your knee joint as much as you can to straighten your quadriceps, 3 section a day with repeat 10 time for each section


One leg standing



4- One leg standing 
stand in one leg hold something to support yourself and count to 15 sec then relax repeat that 5 time








5- Start walk 
physiotherapy will start walking exercise with you firstly , teach you how to use the  assistive devices day after day you will walk alone with no assistive devices

NOTE :  Total Knee Replacement  cases can be improved and back to normal life
